Light
- Low light 3+ mol
- Medium light 6+ mol
- Bright indirect 10+ mol Best
- Direct sun 12+ mol
Needs bright indoor light with no direct sun; too much sun scorches it, while poor light can contribute to rot.
Direct sun: best kept out of it.
On our scale it grows well from about 10 mol/m²/day and holds on down to roughly 2.2 (how these numbers are set).
Care
Care level: Demanding. Water: Keep evenly moist while growing and flowering, never watering from overhead; reduce watering after bloom so it can go dormant.
Tubers need a dark dormant rest at about 60-65 F after flowering.
