As a houseplant it prefers bright indirect light; direct sunlight is not tolerated.

Direct sun: best kept out of it.

Care level: Moderate. Water: Keep the potting soil moist but well-drained.

Prefers room temperatures of 65-85 °F and does not tolerate cool air (NC State).
